Kane not feeling the pressure

Harry Kane insists England’s players are not feeling under any pressure as they bid to win Euro 2016 this summer.

The Three Lions were the most impressive team during qualifying for the finals, as they finished with a 100 per cent record in their group while they also enjoyed an impressive friendly victory against world champions Germany last month.

Those eye-catching results have led to a rise in expectations for Roy Hodgson’s side, but Tottenham striker Kane insists they can still fly under the radar.

He said: “I’m definitely excited for it – I don’t feel there’s any pressure on us, I feel there’s a lot of talk about other countries winning it.”

The 22-year-old believes England must not get too carried away about their chances of winning their first major championship since the 1966 World Cup.

He added: “All we can do is keep working hard, take it game-by-game and see where it takes us.”

England have been drawn in Group B where they will take on Russia, Wales and Slovakia, with their first match against the Russians at the Stade Velodrome on June 11.

The Three Lions are available at 2.20 to begin the tournament with a victory while a Russian win and the draw are both 3.10.
