Batshuayi focused on Euros

Belgium international Michy Batshuayi insists he is fully focused on the upcoming European Championship and is not considering where his future may lie after the tournament.

The 22-year-old is expected to play a big part for the Red Devils at Euro 2016 after a good couple of campaigns with Marseille.

The striker’s domestic goalscoring exploits have caught the eye of a number of Europe’s top clubs as they look to bring in a top young talent. Batshuayi netted 17 goals in 32 Ligue 1 games last term and was one of the few positive things to come out of a disappointing season for Marseille who finished 12th in the league.

Tottenham are known to be interested in the striker while West Ham have also been linked with a move for his services.

The former Standard Liege man has admitted the Premier League is certainly where he would like to play at some point, but revealed he is not currently allowing it to play on his mind. Belgium, who are 11.00 to win Euro 2016, have been drawn in a group alongside Republic of Ireland, Sweden and Italy, and Batshuayi insists his focus is firmly on trying to perform well in France this summer.

Batshuayi said: “I don’t think about that – I prefer to concentrate 100 per cent on the Euros. Then we will see what happens. “Every player dreams of a big league. So the Euros could also be a shop window.

“Everybody likes the Premier League. It has a lot of spectacle, a lot of goals and many good players. It is natural that every good player is attracted by that league.”
